5 lbs. of butter later...

I am not kidding. I just did inventory the other day, and with all our Christmas cooking we went through 5 pounds of butter! Isn't that so funny, now we all really need to make dieting our New Year's resolution!!! Michelle came over Saturday and we made divinity, caramel, English Toffee, fudge, and Pecan Brittle (SOOO much better than peanut brittle). Monday the boys made cookies for Santa, and KC made popcorn balls. I don't know how much sugar that was, but i'm sure we went through a lot of that too. KC made the BEST cinnamon rolls Christmas Day.

We had such a fun Christmas. We went to my Grandma's on Christmas Eve. She lives like 6 miles away, but with all the snow and traffic it took an hour! We had lots of fun and lots of ham (mmm...ham). Carter was so excited for Santa to come that he went straight to bed when we got home so Santa could come.

On Christmas morning he woke up at 6:30 ready to see if Santa had come yet. The kids were so cute going through the presents. When we were done, Preston asked if Santa was coming again. We were like, next year buddy!

Then, KC's family came over for the Cinnamon rolls. I told KC he has to make them again this week!

The weather was perfect so we took the boys sledding. Kate kind of played in the snow a bit and decided it wasn't for her. The boys were so worn out after. Then,my family came over for a ham dinner. Phew! KC and I ended up falling asleep afterwards.

This really has felt like such a magical Christmas. We are so blessed with wonderful family and friends. Our kids are so sweet at this age during Christmas. I love them so much.

KC and Carter are both off work and school until Jan. 2nd, so we are just having a fun family week.
